Various achievements are present in the game. Their mechanics is simple, but efficient: counter that stores a simple variable (for example how many gunships the player has destroyed). When the counter hits a predetermined number, a corresponding achievement is unlocked. Achievement rewards can be anything from special in-game bonus, experience reward, Credits, title (that can be used to unlock additional content like special side quests) etc..Achievements are linked to the Steam platform and can only be gained/unlocked/achieved while the game is connected to Steam.
